Amazon Fire TV Recast

They finally broke it completely! The Recast app has always been buggy, with frequent disconnects that required power cycling the Recast to reestablish a connection. However, after the most recent update, while it connects and allows me to watch recorded things from the DVR on my phone and tablet, you can't watch live TV. It shows the channels and what is on, but nothing happens when you press on the program. It just stays on the program list. Other reviewers on here with the same issue.

Worthless. To connect to a Fire Recast device, it asks me to hit "next", which is (in)conveniently located at the top right of the screen under the status bar where it is impossible to click. Once I figure out a way around that (installing another app which allows full screen mode), I go through the process of connecting, but it hangs on step 5 (out of 6) every time.

This app is very inconsistent, sometimes it works well, most time it doesn't. It is very frustrating, the most recent failure consists in saying that "there are no channels available" and asks to scan. When scanning, all the channels are found but still not available when the scanning ends. In the meantime all recordings are available and the fire TV stick shows all the expected channels, which means the TV Recast works well.
